Sam Morris, Project/ Service Delivery Manager for Aeromark, is taking part in a Cancer Research UK challenge to complete 100 push-ups a day, every day in January.
He is fitting the challenge around working at Aeromark three days a week, and his duties as an England Squash Level 3 Performance Coach for Club Towers, Bedford, where he plays an integral role in the club’s school’s coaching program. Sam also plays in the Bedfordshire Premier League and further afield, sponsored by Oliver Squash UK, and is the lead coach for the Bedford Squash Academy, run by the Club at Mowsbury Squash and Golf complex.
On his Just Giving page, Sam explains he is motivated to take part in the challenge in memory of his dad who lost his life to cancer 23 years ago.
“Losing my dad was truly grounding and it forced me to understand the fragilities of life but to also cherish the special moments that inevitably come your way.
I've not participated in a charity fundraising challenge before but this year I’m going to be doing the 100 Push-Ups a Day Challenge this January (perhaps sometimes with a Squash twist) to help raise money for Cancer Research UK”.
This fundraising work will help Cancer Research UK find new ways to outsmart cancer and create a future that protects the people you love. Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. We can all fund the research to beat it.
