What is two-factor Authentication?
2FA is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism.
2FA feature requires an authenticator app such as Google, Microsoft or Authy installed on a mobile device. After a one-off initial set-up via a QR code, users will need to authenticate once only during any 24-hour period. During this timeframe, re-authentication will only be required if moving to an alternative browser or IP address.
The importance of staying secure online.
According to the NSCS threats of cyber-attacks have been heightened since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, making data protection even more critical.
Aeromark as a ISO27001 company is making 2FA available to our customers, in order to protect data. Click here to find out more on NSCS advice
